Wow. I honestly can't say I've ever had that much fun at a ball before. I was a bit worried about my costume working out, but I think it looked fine. I saw a lot of other girls who looked great as well as boys who clean up pretty well. I saw a cow roaming the Great Hall though, not sure who was in there. But, I'm actually pretty glad that I ended up going.
Callum, thank you for making me go. I think I would have regretted it if I hadn't. It got my mind off of things You made a handsome prince.
Whoever was in the fish costume though, you need to learn how to not bump into people next time. Control your fins please and thank you. I hope everyone else had fun though, all the costumes looked great.

Well Hufflepuff, congrats for the win. The match was very intense and I will admit that I was very into it the whole time. I even yelled a few times. It was a bit chilly though, I didn't dress warm enough so that kind of sucked but...it was fun. Congrats again.
And Callum, you did great. You guys definitely didn't give up and you put up a great fight. Thank you for not getting hit with Bludger as well. I appreciated that.
As for the Harper home....I just feel horrible about it. I can't imagine what I would do if that happened to mum at home. I know that it won't but, it scares me to think that things like this are happening. And since dad isn't there to protect her...it just scares me a little bit. I think I just need to occupy myself with something, or I need someone to distract me. I worry way too much when I have nothing to do.
The Aurors here? I don't know what I think about that. It's comforting because I know I won't get hurt at school, but then again I feel like they're sort of invading my privacy sometimes.

I just got a birthday owl from mum. She told me she was sorry for it being late, apparently her old owl wasn't fit for flying so she had to go out and find one to borrow. Who knows. It was nice though because she sent me a new jacket and a new ring. She sent a huge letter apologizing as well, it's fine though. I don't mind. Birthdays aren't exactly that great anyway, sort of overwhelming and hectic for the most part.
You never feel older anyway. Especially when it's nothing too great. Like 17. I mean really. What happens when you're 17? Nothing.
Anyway. I heard about the underwear thing for you blokes. Sorry about that, sounds like it's rough. Hopefully things get sorted out soon. But as for the aurors being here, it's kind of scary but it makes me feel safe at the same time. I'm not sure what to think about them being here actually. It's just odd and it makes me think that something bad is going to happen soon. Gives me a pit in my stomach really.

Well. I was vaguely amused by the fight. Sort of scary towards the end when everyone was throwing punches...but it was amusing to see Goyle getting punched in the face. Can't lie, I laughed when Caleb tapped Goyle on the shoulder and then gave him a good right hook. But good job to both teams, it was a great match to watch. I usually don't enjoy Quidditch but this one was good, Slytherin and Gryffindor never cease to amuse me during a match. Something always happens.
But other than that, I heard Pomfrey was snogging Moreau or something like that, who knows. Probably just rumors as usual. But it wouldn't surprise me, I always see them giving each other that look during dinner. Sort of awkward to see professors doing that...as long as they're not old though, I'm fine with it.

I'm not going to lie...I sort of wish I could have protested. All of this shit rot going down with the Ministry is just utter bullshit. I mean, excuse my language, it's just bloody ridiculous and I can't say it enough. Give me one good reason why they would need to register? Just, if you can give me one good reason for them to register I might actually think about supporting it. But if you can't, you've just proved my point that it's not important. At all. Merlin.
Everything else that's been happening...well nothing has been really. I actually wish something else was going on so that I didn't have to think about all this rot going on with the Ministry. It's distracting sometimes.

Hey Benjy, I know you aren't all that mad about Quidditch and I know we aren't like...friends or anything, but I have an extra ticket to winter Puddlemere United training and I was wondering if you'd like to go? You don't have to if you don't want, so don't feel obligated or anything. It's during the hols so you could meet us somewhere you do want to go.
